It’s not all about counting calories

 

When you’re trying to lose weight, its really important that you know that it’s not all about counting calories. Sure, counting calories can work but boy, is it tedious! If you follow our programme the calories take care of themselves. I always found it so difficult to count calories.

I’m never sure when I’m in a restaurant or supermarket all of the ingredients that are really in the food. And so much of the food in supermarkets can be processed so, while it might have the correct amount of calories, it could be really lacking in nutrients and full of added salts and sugars. Be really careful of the microwaveable ready meals! They might be convenient, but very little nutrition!

It’s about the quality of the calories not the quantity!

Think about it. If it was just about the quantity couldn’t we all just go and eat 3 chocolate bars, packets of crisps, and fizzy drinks for the day, get our correct quantity of calories, and lose weight? It’s definitely not only about the quantity! Imagine if you did that for a week? Do you think you would lose weight? Do you think you would feel good and have heaps of energy? No! You would feel awful, your energy would be on the floor, and you would definitely not shape up!
